Hypnosis works best if you want to make a change. If you are willing and ready, you'll soon be a healthier, happier you!
Your first session will last approximately 90 minutes. We will determine what changes you would like to make and why you want to make them. We'll work together to find exactly the right tools for you to make those changes. This is your "intake interview".
After the intake interview, we will proceed with the hypnosis portion of your session. You will be comfortably seated with your eyes closed. After listening to my words for a few minutes, you will be in a very relaxed state where your subconscious will be ready to incorporate the new changes you desire.
Your hypnosis session will be recorded and you will receive a CD of the session when you leave the office. To achieve your desired goals, it is best to listen to the CD every day before our next meeting to reinforce the posthypnotic suggestions.
This brief explanation gives you an idea of what to expect during a hypnosis session. Please feel free to call or e-mail me with any additional questions or to request a free brochure.

In The News
Hypnosis, with its long and checkered history in medicine and entertainment, is receiving some new respect from neuroscientists. Recent brain studies of people who are susceptible to suggestion indicate that when they act on the suggestions, their brains show profound changes in how they process information. The suggestions, researchers report, literally change what people see, hear, feel and believe to be true.

What if I can't be hypnotized?
The only people who can't be hypnotized are those who are fearful of hypnosis and those who don't want to be hypnotized.
Will I lose control of my mind under hypnosis?
You do not lose your free will — hypnosis is simply a heightened state of relaxed concentration.
Will I be asleep when I'm hypnotized?
You will not be asleep — you will be relaxed, fully aware and awake.
Can I be convinced to do something immoral under hypnosis?
You will not do or say anything that you consider morally wrong.
What if I don't come "out" of the hypnotic state?
You will only be in a hypnotic state while the hypnotist is talking to you. If the hypnotist stops talking, you will emerge from the hypnotic state.
Is hypnosis long-term therapy?
That's one of the wonderful things about hypnosis — it's short-term therapy which does not go on for years. Of course, your desire to change is crucial.
